In Session: Practicing Clinical Skills for Preventing Other-Directed Violence in Children and Adolescents

This course provides behavioral health professionals an opportunity to apply their existing knowledge of violence risk prevention to assess and intervene with an at-risk adolescent.

Children and adolescents are at risk for committing, experiencing, and witnessing violence. Healthcare professionals need opportunities to practice assessing youth with risk factors for other-directed violence and deciding on appropriate interventions.
