Amanda Gayle received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Georgia in the Counseling and Testing Center. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in the Occupational Health Department working in both the internal and external employee assistance programs. She is licensed in North Carolina where she was in private practice for 15 years serving primarily adults in individual and couples counseling with many presenting issues. Her focus was on cognitive behavioral therapy to treat anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship difficulties, stress management, self-esteem, and parenting. She joined Relias as a subject matter expert writer for behavioral health in 2021.

Minji Yang is a Tenured Counselor Faculty and Intern Training Coordinator at San Jose State University's (SJSU) Counseling and Psychological Services. She has been in practice post-graduation for 8 years and has worked with diverse populations all over the U.S. on multiple clinical issues. She conducts individual, couples, group, and crisis counseling, provides outreach/prevention, and coordinates the APA-accredited internship program at SJSU. Dr. Yang also has her private practice in which she sees clients long-term. She has also conducted quantitative research and is an Editorial Board Member of the peer-reviewed journal, The Counseling Psychologist. Her clinical and research interests include studying culture-specific stressors (e.g., acculturative stress, intergenerational cultural conflict, bicultural identity development, racism-related stress) and coping strategies among international students, Asian/Asian Americans, and immigrant families and how these impact their mental health and providing culturally sensitive treatment for these populations.
