Writer: Bridgett Ross, PsyD
Bridgett Ross, Psy.D. received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Boston College and then her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. She is a licensed psychologist in California and was in private practice for 13 years treating various issues including trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, grief/loss, and issues around self-concept, identity, and attachment. Having supervised pre-licensed and licensed clinicians, she maintains an interest in professional issues in the field of psychology. Dr. Ross’ training and work history include Children’s Hospital Chadwick Center for Children and Families, Kaiser Permanente, Alvarado Parkway Institute, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, which informed her focus on providing evidence-based trauma treatment to diverse populations.
Subject Matter Expert: Nittu Sharma, MSW
Nittu holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Towson University and a Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University. As a licensed Social Worker, Nittu has ten years of experience, having worked in diverse professional settings. Nittu has provided intensive case management services to high-risk clients in medical and behavioral health settings. Her strategic planning and analytical skills have played a crucial role in supporting refugee program development initiatives. With an unwavering commitment to improving healthcare access and advancing humanitarian aid programs. Nittu’s work history includes the Robert Woods Johnson Partners, International Rescue Committee, The ALS Association, Anti-Human Trafficking International (ATI) and U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. She remains deeply connected to her social work roots, actively engaging in community outreach, research-based practice, and working towards systemic change.
